Chrysler Museum of Art Wayfinding

0.00

Along with the Museum’s renovation a new wayfinding plan and system was created for the Chrysler Museum for both the interior spaces and the Museum grounds. The signage system is designed to be visible but discrete, incorporating details from their new brand.  The system is designed to be modular, clearly differentiating primary museum spaces from necessary visitor services. Several changeable and movable orientation and information signs were developed for presenting currently running programs and to guide the visitor to gallery destinations. A series of visitor response stations were also designed and placed throughout the museum where visitors can leave comments and drawings inresponse to questions posted by the museum staff. Donor signage throughout the building was also designed to be discrete, supporting the system rather than standing out as decorative or sculptural objects.
