Fuqua School
J.B. FUQUA HISTORY WALL
Explorers Studio was engaged to design a museum-quality exhibit wall for the Fuqua School that celebrates the school’s history, honors its namesake J.B. Fuqua, and communicates a forward-looking vision for the future. Located in a highly visible cafeteria and shared boardroom space, the exhibit serves as both a daily touchpoint for the Fuqua community and an introduction for visitors, reinforcing the school’s values, legacy, and aspirations.
The exhibit wall is organized as a linear narrative that guides viewers through J.B. Fuqua’s life, values, and lasting impact, using bold graphic forms and directional motifs to suggest momentum and progress. Large angular color fields and arrow elements create a visual rhythm across the 45-foot wall, while layered historical photographs, quotations, and concise interpretive panels provide depth and accessibility. A restrained palette of red, black, white, and metallic gold reinforces Fuqua’s brand identity and sense of gravitas, while dimensional elements and large-scale imagery add presence within the shared space. The result is an immersive, museum-quality installation that balances storytelling with architectural clarity, engaging viewers at both a distance and up close.
